MaFAAs Bunda Chapter adds efforts to its Farm
President for MaFAAs Bunda Chapter on 10th December 2024 led a team of Chapter Members in planting of Groundnuts, Soybean and maize on its farm at LUANAR Bunda Campus. Seeds were provided by Bayer Malawi and Global Seeds Malawi. MaFAAs is looking for more sponsorship in its activities. Contact:(+265) 883073195/ 991329127

Zigege - Fundraising
A fundraising event was held on 12 September 2024 to support the implementation of MaFAAS projects, including the First Year Welcoming Party and the MaFAAS Farm Project, along with several other initiatives outlined in its plan.
MaFAAS Farm
The MaFAAS Patron "Mr Daniso Mkweu" guided the team to their designated farm. The purpose of this visit was to familiarize the team with the farmland allocated to them by the extension department, enabling them to proceed with the planning and implementation of their agricultural objectives for the 2024-25 season.
Last Mile Project Final Stakeholder Workshop
MaFAAS concluded the 5-year Last Mile Project (2019–2024), funded by IFAD, enhancing demand-driven extension services for smallholder farmers in Malawi, Kenya, and Cameroon. At a final workshop in Mponela, key stakeholders discussed project achievements, future support for farmers, and the role of women and youth in agriculture. Representatives from MaFAAS Bunda chapter also attended the event.
Celebrating a Successful MaFAAS Website Launch at LUANAR Bunda Campus
On Friday, 8th November 2024, the MaFAAS Bunda Chapter hosted an exciting and successful launch of our website, www.mafaasbunda.com, in Calt 2 at LUANAR Bunda Campus. The event was a momentous occasion, graced by Dr. Paul F. Fatch, Head of the Extension Department at LUANAR, as the esteemed guest of honor. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Fatch for his inspiring presence and for supporting the digital advancement of agricultural extension in Malawi.
